Portfolio
Welcome to a brief portfolio page. I have worked in various settings from advertising, promotional to corporate communications. From start ups to Fortune 500 companies. I’ve lead teams of developers and designers. I’ve also been just a team member. The selections below demonstrate what I call working “small to large” or integrated promotional marketing. Small - being website graphics, large - being anything larger then standard print sizes.
Subsequently, I have experiences that run the gamut from designing and building websites to wrapping buses with advertisements to promote the website I just built. So, I’m no stranger to print, video and the web. The last few years I’ve worked for a major retailer handing daily promotional emails, eventually becoming the team lead, over seeing 3 direct reports.
Integrated marketing campaign surrounding a PT Cruiser give away. First image - C.T.A. bus wrap for PT Cruiser Give away. 2nd -The PT Cruisers were then wrapped to resemble a hot rod with a flame job, a British Taxi Cab and a West Coast Retro Woody station wagon complete with surf board rack and surf board. I did concept through execution to delivery. The final graphic was in right field of the “Cell” (now Guaranteed Rate field) where the White Sox play and was part of a separate promotion. This was in addition to redesigning, redeploying and updating Webstreet’s 4 foreign partner websites in French, German, Spanish and Chinese.
I handled daily updates to internal facing websites with timely communication to employees and associates. I redesigned or updated various templated communication pieces for both Office Max
(I was part of the team handling the merger with Office Depot) and Allstate. First image, Office Max internal employee website. 2nd - Allstate Emerging Business Email design. Lastly, I did the redesign and redeployment of the Allstate Corporate Relations internal website. Creating all elements/code and graphics.
I’m the principle illustrator for a co-authored web comic titled “Helsig”. It spans 3 books and weighs in at 260 pages plus. The three thumbnails below demonstrate the transition from line drawing, to basic gray scale, to finalized comic cell. I guess the anatomy classes paid off.
Misc. Band Posters
When you’re the artist in the band you get called on to do the posters. This is an example from a former band I played in back in Chicago. I actually handled all of the promotional web, print, post video production for the band at the time. You can check out what we sounded like in the “Sound” section.
